National Recycling Week

It's National Recycling Week and our Lifelong Learning Centres are getting involved to make our planet healthier for the younger generation that is in our care.

Held during 11th - 17th November, our centres are getting involved by educating our children on the importance of recycling everything from food scraps, to aluminium cans, furniture, tyres and clothing.

We regularly recycle these items and give them a new lease on life - old tyres become planter boxes for our plants, washed aluminium cans become musical instruments or pre-loved clothing is our next dress up theme.

Additionally, as part of our 'Healthy Children - Healthy World Program', we are proud to have a program focused around social responsibility, conservation, environment and sustainability. Our programs include wonderful learning opportunities with gardening programs, Bush and Beach Kindy, recycling stations, caring for centre pets and environment days.

Our Healthy World activities and programs take place weekly at all of our centres. The focus is always on the bigger picture - how we, as individuals and a collective community, can come together to make the world a better place.
